HOW ARE TREATMENTS OF NON-SURGICAL INJECTABLES PERFORMED?
Treatments using non-surgical injectables are performed in our Acqua Blu Medical Spa by board-certified dermatologist Ana Busquets, MD, FAAD. Dr. Busquets consults with each patient to review their medical history, evaluate the area of concern and develop a treatment plan with appropriate methods. Points may be marked on the patient’s face to pinpoint injection sites, and photographs may be taken of the areas of concern. The injection sites will be cleansed and an anesthetic ointment may be applied or an injection of local anesthesia given to numb the skin. After that, the process of injecting, massaging, and evaluating the result begins. The injection process takes from 15 to 60 minutes, depending on the number of areas. Once the injection process is complete, the markings are wiped off. Patients may be given an ice pack to help reduce any swelling or alleviate any discomfort. Any mild bruising or swelling will subside within a few days. A more youthful, rejuvenated appearance will be seen immediately.
