What are Fractional Lasers?
Fractional lasers are lasers that treat the area of focus in grids rather than at full blast. This way, only a portion of the skin is damaged, allowing for a faster healing process. The body will heal the damaged area, including the skin around it, which offers similar results to non-fractional lasers. It’s win-win!
Halo™ by Sciton® is a fractional laser that offers you the best of both worlds. It gives you the results of an ablative fractional laser, but with the non-ablative downtime. How it does this is by using two different wavelengths: 1470nm of non-ablative coagulation and 2940 nm Er. YAG wavelength for ablation.
