Zakery A. Koban

MPAS, PA-C

Both an ARTAS patient and provider, Zakery is an expert in the hair restoration process. He attended the Physician Assistant Program at Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania. He graduated Summa Cum Laude in May of 2009 with a Bachelor of Health Science. He achieved his Masters of Physician Assistant Sciences in May of 2010. He has worked closely with Dr. Brian Vassar Heil at Premier Plastic Surgery since September 2010. Zakery is nationally certified by the NCCPA and licensed to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Association of Plastic Surgery Physician Assistants (APSPA). Here at the Center for Hair Restoration, Zakery specializes in hair consultations, before & after procedure care, graft extraction, platelet rich-plasma injection and medicinal management of hair loss.

Carey B. Steinmetz

MPA-C

A Cranberry native, Carey was born and raised in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. She attended the University of Pittsburgh for her undergraduate degree and received her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from the New York Institute of Technology in 2014. Carey has a background in Vascular and Neurosurgery. She joined our Plastic Surgery team in August 2019.

Christina M. Romano

PA-C

Christina hails from New York City. She graduated from Wagner College in 2002 with her degree in Physician Assistant Sciences. She joined the Plastic Surgery Team at Premier in May 2011, operating side-by-side by Dr. Brian Vassar Heil.

Bonnie Russo

Physician Assistant

Bonnie has been a physician assistant since 1978 and has been with Acqua Blu since 2008. In addition to being an absolute virtuosa in Botox and all its uses, her expert eye and decades of experience make their most positive impact for patients who are getting any of a wide variety of non-ablative and ablative treatments. Her expertise lies in traditionally detailed and demanding ablative procedures like Halo, C02 lasers, profractional, microlaser peels, and other anti-aging treatments. All in all, Bonnie is the go-to guru for all anti-aging treatments and she has the experience and years to prove it.

Anna Manion-Birmingham

CME

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Anna has been a licensed medical aesthetician and laser specialist since 2008, and has been with Acqua Blu since 2015. Anna’s specialties mainly lie in a wide range of laser treatments such as Laser Genesis, BBL, Moxi, Halo, Laser Hair Removal, Microneedling, and one of the newest treatments added to our practice, PRX Derm Perfexion.

Anna’s approach to patient care is always focused on the individual and their specific concerns. She enjoys creating a custom treatment plan for each patient with the goal of everyone feeling their best, most confident selves!

Kayla Knoll

CME

Kayla Knoll has been in the aesthetics industry since 2015. After receiving a degree in Biology from Penn State University she went on to study esthiology at the Christine Valmy Institute in New York City and became a licensed medical aesthetician in both NY and PA.

She has worked at renowned medical spas in NYC, where she has experienced and trained in some of the most cutting-edge treatments in the industry today. Kayla enjoys delivering customized treatments to help her clients reach their skin care goals and feel their most confident and beautiful.

Cassie Glivic

BSN, RN

Cassie attended the University of Dayton for her undergraduate in biology in 2014. She worked in medical research with the University of Pittsburgh before pursuing her nursing degree. Cassie joined the Acqua Blu team in November of 2023. With more than 6 years of experience in aesthetics, she specializes in laser and injectable treatments.
